Reconciliation

The TRC Response Circle is a group that meets at Southminster-Steinhauer United Church to build and sustain relationships between SSUC and the aboriginal community. We do this through a variety of ways that we hope fosters good communication and awareness of opportunities to further our connections.

Walk With Me, an interactive audio installation.  Learn more about what it means to be Indigenous in Edmonton by listening to stories of our neighbours, colleagues and friends in reconciliation. Breakdown stereotypes and challenge misconceptions by hearing them share their experiences of living in the same city you call home. The project is the work of the RISE Programming Committee and has been a team effort over the past 6 months to pull together. The entire display was conceived at the Edmonton Public Library and created using the technology of the EPL Makerspace.  Visit the installation over the summer months at Stanley A. Milner Library and make sure to bring your smartphone with a QR code reader to hear all of the stories!  https://soundcloud.com/risedm/sets/walk-with-me 12 stories
