Rainbow Connection All-Ages Dance Party

In support of CampfYrefly, The Pride Centre of Edmonton and Safqey (Safe Accommodations for Queer Edmonton Youth)

Friday, September 25, 2015 at Southminster-Steinhauer United Church at 10740 19-Avenue NW in Edmonton from 6 p.m. to Midnight. Tickets are only $15.00 and can be purchased at the door. A Three Bean Chili and hotdog dinner is included as well as desserts and non-alcoholic beverages. This event is alcohol free.

A young man named Shawn Gray had a dream to share his love of dance and music with LGBTQ people and all allies young and old. Shawn realized youth can never be a part of many of the 18+ fundraisers for LGBTQ organizations as they are usually held in bars and clubs. Shawn wanted to create a safe space for all LGBTQ youth, adults and their families and allies to come together and enjoy a dance party. We want to instill hope and inclusion for all LGBTQ people and show our youth that they are valued and loved regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

“I created Rainbow Connection: All Ages Dance Party… to bring people of all generations and from all spectrums of sexual orientation and gender identities under one roof to feel love, acceptance and connection through the euphoria of music and dance,” said 23-year-old Queer man Shawn Gray.
