Dedication of Southminster-Steinhauer United Church’s
New Facility, Edmonton, Alberta, March 4, 2001
 

God of truth and God of mercy,
Hear us as we rise to praise,
Your compassion and your wisdom,
Which has brought us to these days.
You have led us, you have blest us,
Now our thanks to you we raise;

As we built this house of worship,
Your great Spirit made us strong;
Strengthen’d us when we were weary,
Cheered our journey with a song.

May our labours serve you long;

As we shared this task together,
Friendships grew and multiplied,
As you called on us to gather
With your Spirit by our side.
